Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects.Primary objectiveCarry out Telecom design engineering activities, including co-ordination with the instrumentation and telecom design groups, to engineer tie-ins on existing off shore and on shore oil and gas processing facilities.Specific AccountabilitiesPerform Telecom engineering design duties associated Green field and brown field off shore and on shore oil and gas processing facilities and downstream facilities such as refinery, petrochemicals, etc.\xc2\xb7 Duties will include data gathering and site survey of existing telecom systems.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of Front end engineering deliverables including design basis, specifications datasheets, sizing calculations, studies and reports.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of FEED and detail design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Location Layouts, Cable Routing Layouts, Interconnection drawings etc. in collaboration with designers.\xc2\xb7 Carry out bid evaluation/ vendor document review and approval.\xc2\xb7 Co-ordination and network design / interface with required Process Control & Safety systems\xc2\xb7 Quality Assurance \xe2\x80\x93 Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil & Gas Business Unit\xc2\xb7 Safety \xe2\x80\x93 Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the Oil & Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.\xc2\xb7 Exposure to man-hour estimate and preparation of proposals.Matching Indicators\xc2\xb7 Work is performed in accordance with broad technical guidelines and with minimal supervision.\xc2\xb7 Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them.\xc2\xb7 Willing to learn and work on other areas such as instrumentation and control systems if project demands or opportunity is given within organization.Position Specific Experience:\xc2\xb7 Execution of Telecommunications projects; both standalone and integrated.\xc2\xb7 Sound knowledge of International codes and standards related to telecommunication field.\xc2\xb7 Design experience in various long haul transmission systems encompassing SDH/PDH nodes, MPLS TP node, Gigabit Ethernet switches etc.\xc2\xb7 Design of systems such as Telephone System, LAN System, TETRA System, Microwave Radio, VHF Marine Radio, VSAT, PAGA, ACS, CCTV, Intruder detection system, Structured Cabling System, FO Cabling, Telephone cabling etc. to suit client requirements\xc2\xb7 Interface requirements with various Control systems, Electrical Systems etc.\xc2\xb7 Cyber security.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of Telecom system specifications and equipment datasheets.\xc2\xb7 Preparation of Technical Bid evaluation and recommendations.\xc2\xb7 FO link budget calculations, Bandwidth requirements, Radio coverage study, Speaker coverage calculations etc. using standard software\xe2\x80\x99s available in telecom industry.\xc2\xb7 QA - Responsible for working with the provisions and guidelines of company QA proceduresQualificationsEssential Skills/Experience\xc2\xb7 Engineering degree or equivalent; previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.\xc2\xb7 Anticipate at least relevant experience with Telecom design and engineering in the Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical environment, including a minimum years of offshore experience.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of hazardous area requirements.\xc2\xb7 A positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment.\xc2\xb7 The ability to work within a project team.\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\xc2\xb7 Excellent time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised.Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
