Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Assist in ensuring that the production orders in the Recycling Cast House are most efficient planned and scheduled. To maximise the highest output of products in the most efficient and safest way.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Resumes overall responsibility to the production planning process for recycling cast house to:


Maximise output Make best use of available scrap to reduce cost and at the same time deliver highest quality products Produce in a safe, environmentally friendly and efficient way Ensure at all times the availability of the correct scrap, alloys, prime metal, and consumables In coordination with the maintenance team optimizes the preventive and predictive maintenance schedule to minimize breakdowns and to optimize OEE

Processes work orders to completion by determining priority, scope of work, start and completion dates, manpower, materials and special requirements.



Initiates and prepares stores authorisation forms, stores amendments, purchase enquiries/requisitions, computer data entry forms and accesses spare parts manuals to accurately complete the above.



Reviews PM schedules and instructions and modifies as requested by the energy department management.



Issues PM schedules correctly to the relevant energy supervisor.



Supplies PM conformance charts for each AP / Month.



Reviews or amends spare parts list descriptions and spares levels in the SAP system.



Issues work orders and work order backlog lists as required.



Assists in updating Material Master and Equipment Master Data in SAP System.



Assists in generating energy department reports.



Adheres to Company policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety and Quality management

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of 50% of HNC programme / Recognised Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience:

5 years of relevant Plant Experience 2 years' experience in PG 8

Skills:

Computer Literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) & CMMS (SAP). * Good communication and interpersonal skills
