To carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of
Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) cranes
and related lifting equipment. The role requires strong expertise in
electrical systems, PLC programming, and control logic
for brands such as
KONE, DEMAG, Morris, STAHL
, and equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
routine preventive maintenance
and
breakdown repairs
on EOT cranes, hoists, and related control systems.
Diagnose and repair
electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults
on cranes.
Troubleshoot and modify
PLC programs
(Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.) used in crane control panels.
Calibrate and test limit switches, sensors, encoders, contactors, inverters, and overload protection devices.
Carry out
load testing and commissioning
of new installations or major overhauls.
Ensure compliance with
safety standards
and electrical codes during all maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain detailed
service reports
, maintenance logs, and spare parts consumption records.
Coordinate with crane OEMs and vendors (KONE, DEMAG, Morris, etc.) for technical support, parts identification, and upgrades.
Guide and train junior technicians on troubleshooting techniques and safe work practices.
Support the engineering team in developing
maintenance schedules and spare parts lists
for critical cranes.
Ensure adherence to company
quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree
in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum
5-8 years
of hands-on experience in
maintenance and troubleshooting of EOT cranes
(preferably with KONE, DEMAG, Morris, or similar brands).
Strong knowledge of
PLC systems
, VFDs, and motor control circuits.
Familiar with
Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, or Schneider PLCs
and HMI programming.
Ability to read and interpret
electrical schematics and control drawings
.
Good understanding of
industrial safety practices
and lockout/tagout procedures.
Experience with
preventive maintenance planning
and spare parts management.
