Element has an opportunity for an Associate Engineer to join our rapidly expanding metallurgy team.

As a member of the metallurgical laboratory operations team, this position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. This role requires proficiency in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures

This position will be based in Dubai, UAE

Responsibilities

Handle variety of assignments within the metallurgical laboratory for testings in the areas of mechanical, metallurgical and corrosion Be accountable for technical activities of a limited scope and be able to take up individual projects and deliver as per the expectations within the committed timescale either in the lab or at site Effectively contribute to technical presentations and communications with the team members and the client as and when needed Perform, analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed and evaluate with the stated requirements Manage job priorities and work time in accordance with the targets / goals set by supervisor Work with all the team members as needed to complete the tasks Skills / Qualifications

Possess a recognized engineering qualification to a degree level with good working knowledge of laboratory safety

3 years of relevant hands-on laboratory testing in an ISO 17025 laboratory as well as field experience leading to comparable engineering knowledge, competencies and skill

Have an in-depth understanding of testing concepts and test standards related to testing of metals as a minimum in the fields of mechanical testing, chemical analysis, corrosion testing, microstructural examination

Possess strong computer skills along with good oral and written communication in English

Have ability to stand on feet for long periods of time and lift 50+lbs periodically #LI-SR1 Company Overview
