Overview / Responsibilities: Wood is looking for a Senior Technical Safety Designer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Lead Technical Safety Engineer the candidate will carry out assigned HSE design work as part of a multi-discipline project team
- To promote safe behaviour at all times
- Maybe required to perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locations
- To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project\xe2\x80\x99s, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirements
- To provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering and construction

- To provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering and construction
- Diploma or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument engineering (or relevant subject)
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry
- Knowledge of site-based project work involving field engineering and construction
- Onshore Oil and Gas related HSE design experience
- A determination to continually improve safety in all aspects of plant design and operation
- Extensive experience with prefabricated, packaged plant design
- Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
