Job Title Senior Technical Inspector

Description

# Follow up with the team inspectors' activities and their site visit program and give the technical information if
required for solving the problems in site.
# Collect all data and new material installed at site through the contractor. Check the materials stock and
evaluate the requirement of spares and equipments for structures/tunnels as per the policy and program the
works to be carried out by the contractor.
# Implementing the inspection programs and schedules concerning the field visits to the sites of the projects
executed by the Authority and the various external bodies.
# Attend 24Hrs emergency complaints from Call center, Control Room, Police, RTA authorities and Public. Take
immediate action and visit site if required to solve the problem in co-ordination with the contractor.
# Follow up the daily inspection report and work program of contractor, evaluate the reports, and assess the type
of fault and work. Issue Work Orders on the basis of reports, service requests and complaints through Maximo.
# Conducting daily visits to the areas assigned to inspectors and follow up to achieve quality over their works.
# Review the design of related systems of new projects and give necessary comments.
# Attend the site meeting for the handing over inspection of the new projects with consultants, main
contractors and authorities then prepare the snags list and forward it to the director`s office for necessary
further actions .
# Visit the site, prepare detailed accident damage report, cost estimate and submittal. Follow up with the
contractor for the removal of damaged items and arrange necessary materials in co-ordination with RTA for
the replacement.
# Carry out the necessary technical study and assessment of Road Structures for the installation of new related
systems. Provide necessary technical recommendations through the Manager of the Section.
# Assign technical standards and specification required for the related systems used in the structures.
# Performing the required technical/assessment for road structures and enter the data in the Bridge
Maintenance Management System (BMMS),and produce summary report, whenever necessary/required.
# Follow-up the Routine preventive maintenance as per the approved schedule by the section, carryout the
necessary supervision and check the quality of preventive/routine maintenance and follow the necessary check
lists to be used.
# Supervise the site while performing the work. Check the completed work. Tally the works and rates as per
B.O.Q. with the necessary joint measurements and forward it for approval. Resolve all day to day problems
in co-ordination with other contractors/ subcontractors, consultants, DEWA ,DM and all other related
authorities.
# Conducting the necessary co-ordinations with other Departments for the support to the maintenance
contractor to get permissions and carryout their routine activities throughout the contract period.
# Check with the contractors during the site supervision for the technical problems and give the technical
recommendations and solutions.
# Data entry to computer. Prepare necessary technical reports as per the requirements and instructions of the
Manager of the Section. Checking all concerned documentation and filing.

Education
# Technical Diploma in Engineering: Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Hydraulic from a
recognized university.
