What Does a Senior Supply Chain Manager Do?
The Senior Supply Chain Manager oversees logistics planning, inventory control, and distribution center operations to ensure efficient product movement from suppliers to stores. This role is critical to ensuring stock availability, minimizing costs, and aligning supply chain execution with retail expansion plans and operational excellence.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business and retail growth plans
- Optimize logistics operations including inbound, replenishment, and distribution
- Coordinate with international sourcing hubs to ensure cost-effective freight solutions
- Ensure cold chain and inventory compliance across distribution centers
- Monitor and improve logistics KPIs such as stock days, service levels, and on-time delivery
- Identify risks in supply chain operations and implement preventive solutions
- Manage logistics cost efficiency by improving warehouse layouts and transport planning
- Drive continuous improvement in operational processes to minimize delays and stockouts
- Lead logistics support for promotional events to ensure timely product availability
- Stay updated on global trade regulations and customs compliance impacting supply operations

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years in supply chain or logistics roles, including 4+ years in retail operations
