Senior Structural/Designer Engineer - Duties and Responsibilities

1.

Structural Design & Analysis

Perform advanced structural analysis and calculations for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure using software like ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or SAFE. Develop innovative and safe design solutions that comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocode). Review and validate structural models and drawings before submission.

Project Management & Coordination

Lead structural design activities across multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of outputs. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and other design team members to ensure smooth integration of structural systems. Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to address technical issues and project requirements.
3.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare detailed structural drawings, reports, design documentation, and construction specifications. Approve shop drawings and material submittals in coordination with project specifications. Maintain design documentation in an organized and accessible manner for project tracking.
4.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure all designs meet safety, sustainability, and regulatory requirements. Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify the implementation of structural works as per design. Evaluate existing structures for potential retrofitting or reinforcement needs.
5.

Mentorship & Leadership

Supervise and mentor junior engineers and draftsmen, reviewing their work and offering guidance. Provide technical leadership in the structural design process. Conduct internal training or workshops when needed.
6.

Cost and Risk Management

Provide input into material selection and cost estimation for structural components. Identify structural risks and propose mitigation strategies early in the design process.
Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 7 years experience in Dubai

2. Must be a graduate of Civil/Structural Engineer or any related profession

3. G+12 approved by DM

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
