Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for TPE IV / Senior Structural Engineer to work on the engineering and project management services in Al Khobar office

Have experience in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, infrastructure industries on large to mega projects Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications Must have working knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications Demonstrates ability to work with others Prepares and reviews engineering studies, design drawings and documents Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards Aware of appropriate codes of practice and standards Aware of and able to use design and assessment methods under supervision Aware of analytical methods used within discipline and theoretical background for analysis programs Able to identify personal training / education opportunities Highly motivated with an innovative and analytical mind Able to communicate ideas to both senior and junior personnel Skills / Qualifications

Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering Minimum 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry working for an established contractor, operator, or consultancy Minimum 5 years' experience in offshore structural engineering and design Previous experience in SACS and other offshore engineering applications Previous experience in the execution of FEED and EPC Projects Should be proficient in Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, STAAD and STADDpro) Should also be familiar with editing, opening, and reading drawings in AutoCAD / Microstation Professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes, and procedures and how they are used in work execution Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standard Company Overview
