Senior Structural Engineer - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for leading and supervising all structural aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to UAE regulations and international standards. This role requires extensive experience in contracting firms within the UAE, with strong technical expertise in high-rise, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret structural drawings, design documents, and specifications to ensure constructability and compliance
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve structural design issues
• Supervise and support site execution teams for structural works including foundations, slabs, columns, beams, and steel structures
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, safety, and quality standards
• Review and validate structural shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS)
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international codes (ACI, BS, Eurocodes)
• Collaborate with QA/QC and safety teams to maintain structural quality and site safety
• Provide engineering input for temporary works, value engineering, and construction methodology proposals
• Manage technical submittals, RFIs, and variation requests related to structural works
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to site and project teams

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a UAE-based contracting firm
• Strong knowledge of structural systems for high-rise, residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, and structural analysis/design software (Revit knowledge is a plus)
• Excellent knowledge of UAE construction regulations and international structural codes
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
