Job Summary
We\'re seeking Senior Structural Engineer to be based in Dubai. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible to produce the design information and coordinate with the CAD/BIM technicians for the drawings production and coordinate with the relevant design disciplines. He/She will be responsible to provide technical submissions, reviews and quality management. Design will be carried out in accordance with AASHTO LRFD, and AREMA.

We\'re seeking Senior Structural Engineer to be based in Dubai. The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible to produce the design information and coordinate with the CAD/BIM technicians for the drawings production and coordinate with the relevant design disciplines. He/She will be responsible to provide technical submissions, reviews and quality management. Design will be carried out in accordance with AASHTO LRFD, and AREMA.
Job Duties
- Development of feasibility and design concepts.
- Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches for bridges, underpasses, rail structures.
- Provide technical lead on design tasks.
- Liaise with CAD/BIM Technician for production of drawings.
- Responsible to coordinate with the other disciplines to ensure there are no design gaps and provide fully coordinated design deliverables. This includes the support of the construction supervision teams.
- Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings following policies and procedures.
- Participate in developing solutions to complex and challenging issues using engineering methodologies to define new procedures when needed.
- Having reasonable knowledge about life cycle cost analysis of underground structures.
- Able to monitor and track the design progress of the project.
- Carry out risk assessments and provision of design information for Health and Safety.
- Report writing and production of technical reports and documents.
- Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Bridge, Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Preferably educated to MSc level or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer (MIStructE, or C.Eng. from UK) or Professional Engineer (PE from USA) is highly preferred.
- Must have minimum of 10+ years of hands on experience in Bridges. UAE/ME projects experience would be preferred.
- Must have worked at a similar level on major civil infrastructure projects.
- Understand the commonly used forms of contract and the implication to drawings produced on each project as per client requirements.
- Shows willingness and enthusiasm, actively contributes.
- Supports colleagues, seen as a team leader.
- Verifies that work carried out is correct as per client requirement.
- Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as Midas, STAAD, SAP, RM Bridges.
