Jacobs is looking for a talented Senior Structural Engineer to join our Cities and Places team in Dubai. You will be given the opportunity to learn, lead and deliver challenging buildings projects, whilst also working collaboratively to establish project requirements in alignment with our Buildings and Masterplan strategy. In addition, you will also meet the following requirements: -

• Lead a team in preparation and delivery of schematic design, detailed design and tender design preparation and documentation.
• Establish and develop structural design from concept throughout the subsequent design stages.
• Perform structural engineering analysis of steel structures.
• Undertake engineering design and calculations in compliance with international code of practice.
• Manage coordinate of the structural design with other disciplines, other offices, and other project team members as required by project size.
• Review drawings, design analysis and calculations.
• Manage QA/QC in accordance with the company policy.
• Write, collaborate on, and review reports, documents, and proposals.
• Support construction administration personnel including field reviews and co-ordination, review and issuance of change notices, clarifications and RFI responses on an occasional or as required basis.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with team members and other disciplines.
• Monitor team members performance and report progress to the management.
• Collaborate with head of department to prioritize projects, workloads, and needs.
• Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver innovative and sustainable best value solutions that meet the Client's requirements whilst maintaining excellent relationships with Clients and co-workers.
• Manage and collaborate with the project team to efficiently complete projects and meet expected budgets and timeline.

Qualifications

• As a successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 10 years' hands-on experience working on landscape design and delivery of notable projects with renowned design consultancy practices.
• Proven track record of experience in delivery of complex large scale steel structures.
• Knowledge on American, British and Eurocode standards.
• Experience in using CSi ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and STAAD.
• Awareness of steel fabrication and erection process.
• Knowledge on steel connections design and detailing.
• Demonstrable experience of delivering projects from concept through completion.
• Communicate clearly in written, sketch and drawn forms to people at all levels.
