Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design, project management, and collaboration with architects and other engineers. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

Develop structural designs for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. Support internal development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards for building systems and contribute to clash detection project reviews. Perform structural analysis using software tools and manual calculations to ensure safety and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Lead projects from conception through completion, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to specifications. Work closely with architectural teams to integrate structural systems seamlessly into building designs. Attend project meetings and provide technical expertise to address design challenges and propose solutions. Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations. Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and specifications prepared by team members. Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of engineering practice. Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Structural, and related, building systems, design standards and building program templates. Demonstrate proficiency in the design and detailing of structural systems with a clear understanding of the impacts of structural design on adjacent components and systems.

Experience

Degree educated - Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering - Masters is a plus Holds Unlimited License in UAE and KSA would be preferred. Excellent design skills and software skills - 3D design, STAAD?Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, ROBOT, AutoCAD, other related design software. Member of UAE Society Engineers. Registration with home country professional body highly regarded. Understand codes and standards along with their applications. Ability to use competently the main Structural codes of practice and Building Regulations. Project management experience from design development through construction administration on commercial and/or industrial projects. Experience supporting design and detailing within BIM, including support of structural coordination and clash detection on active projects Experience in Office Suite, Bluebeam Revit and Autodesk Suite (Revit, BIM360, Navisworks, AutoCAD 15+ years of experience
