1. JOB SCOPE:


Study and develop conceptual designs, prepare detailed engineering solutions, plan,


monitor and coordinate all assigned modifications (projects) with project team for a wide


range of tasks related to discipline scope. Act as a key focal point for in-house


/subcontracted engineering. Review of engineering studies conducted in line with defined


requirements, industry best practices and contractual agreements.


2. PROJECT MANAGEMENT:


Coordinate discipline review and approval of design and interfaces with Contractor onCompany requirements and specifications.


Review and approve all related technical documents and coordinate with supervisor.


Review and advice on layouts, site preparation, static-pipeline systems, etc. duringtechnical evaluation stage of bidder's proposals to assess technical capability and ensure


compliance with project specifications.


Ensure projects' mechanical static engineering design and engineering activities areexecuted according to specification, within budget, with the contract scope of work and


meets time schedules.


Coordinate and provide engineering support for construction activities, including theassurance that engineering details required for construction are provided.


Review and approve modifications (projects) as-built documents.


3. DESIGN AND ENGINEERING:


Conduct site verification and data collection of existing and new facilities as part of studypreparation.


Carry out the technical reviews for all areas of work covered in mechanical/staticengineering projects while evaluating requests and recommending appropriate solutions


and proposing changes as necessary within the defined project scope and protocols to


facilitate achievement of defined objectives.


Consults with representatives of Process, Construction, Maintenance, Inspection,Operation, Reliability, etc. to ensure that designs meet the objectives.

Execute verification, studies and detail design following best engineering practices andoptimization in term of cost, construction simplicity, operability and maintainability, HSSE,


etc.


Prepares design specifications for rotating equipment.


Develops calculations for adequacy checks of existing equipment for any modifiedconditions, etc.


Prepares supply and services purchase specifications.


Develops studies for new installation equipment layout to optimize the available space, withrespect to best engineering practice.


Prepares MTOs and BOQs.


Prepares Scope of Work and technical specification for mechanical constructionsubcontracts.


Prepares technical documentation for static equipment requisition.


Carry out technical evaluations.


Preparation of mechanical design, constructive drawings of static equipment installation


and plot plans drawings.


4. HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY:


Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security, environmental and qualitymanagement procedures.


To work closely with HSSE on related tasks.


Ensure updating documentations related to modifications (projects).


Participate in modifications (projects) risk assessments studies such as HAZOP, etc.


5. REPORTS:


Provide regular progress report related to assigned modifications (projects).


Preparation of specific reports upon request.

7. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:


7.1 QUALIFICATIONS



Minimum Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in discipline Engineering.


7.2 EXPERIENCE



Minimum Experience for discipline Senior Engineer position:


12 years of experience in design/engineering in the field of Oil and Gas/Petrochemical


industry.


In-depth knowledge of discipline design/engineering with wide experience in multi-discipline


areas.


7.3 SKILLS



Job-Specific Skills (Technical):



Knowledge of static design/engineering.


Familiar with rotating equipment and piping systems.


Familiar with mechanical equipment package systems.


Familiar with Industrial/International Codes and Standards (ASME, API 650, API 620, API


653, API 661, TEMA, ASME B16.5, ASME B16.9, ASME B16.11, ASME B16.47, ASME


B31.3 and ASME B36.10, etc.).


Conceptual studies of ASME, API, TEMA, BS 5500, WRC 107, 297 & client reference


standard to fulfil client & code requirements (U, U2 stamp).

Preparation of mechanical design data sheet for Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, air


cooled Exchangers, Filters, etc.


Performing strength calculations of Pressure Vessels and Heat Exchangers both manually


and by PV-Elite, Compress software, etc.


Knowledge of calculation of shell and head thickness for internal pressure and external


pressure, nozzle thickness calculations, nozzle reinforcement calculations, stress in shell


due to saddle supports, base plate and base ring calculations, support calculations, lifting


lug calculations, transportation calculations, wind load and seismic load calculations as per


ASCE and UBC, man way davit calculations, stiffener calculations, etc.


Preparation and checking of fabrication detailed drawings for Pressure Vessels, Heat


Exchangers, piping, pipe supports, etc.


Understanding equipment requirements connected to piping systems.


Prepares design sketches and drawings of various facilities based on modification requests,


design calculations, field measurements, codes and standards.


Assist in inspection during testing and evaluate test results of equipment.
