Job Description

Job Purpose

Manage the sustainability's understanding, deployment and reporting in the company; work closely with the line to monitor and update the line on the company sustainability's roadmap, concepts, practices, and initiatives to ensure timely and desired contributions towards sustainability.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

Sustainability Reporting . Review all aspects of sustainability report and facilitate the publication of the Annual Company Sustainability Report and provide input to ADNOC. And performance reports as well as other sustainability publications. . Update the quarterly sustainability achievements of the sustainability committee and progress to completion of the roadmap by monitoring and tracking impact of sustainability initiatives and projects Sustainability Standards & Benchmarking . Work collaboratively with relevant functions to review sustainability practices are workable and aligned against the related standards and guidelines; ISO9001, RC14001, ISO26000, and Responsible Care. . Maintain and update sustainability' policies, procedures, communications, forms and related materials which enable communicating and adhering to the function directions. . Contribute to developing systems, procedures and guidelines with defined accountabilities and responsibilities . Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive sustainable practices including identification of stakeholders and materiality. . Assess overall company Sustainability performance, taking a lead role in the development of suitable rectification plans that deliver effective solutions to support sustainability at Company. . Represent the company in sustainability management events and sessions at ADNOC, local authorities and ADNOC Sustainability Steering Committee, as required. . Assess legal requirements for setting up the Board in new subsidiaries in coordination with legal counsels . Develop greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories including data analysis, emission factor development, calculation methodology, web-system deployment and supports /issues sustainability report. . Work co-operatively with ADNOC Group of Companies to ensure that company sustainability goals and objectives are effectively managed and delivered. . Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of empirical data with particular focus on environmental data; i.e. emissions, flaring, carbon, water and waste including life-cycle analysis (LCA)....etc. Sustainability Practices . Educate, train, discuss and communicate the related employees and stakeholders to ensure understanding and of the company sustainability policy, framework, goals, initiatives... etc. . Facilitate the identification of opportunities and initiatives to improve sustainability performance within Company and drive in prioritizing implementation strategies to achieve targets. . Assess the functions strategies, business plans, performance indicators in line with the sustainability indicators, framework or criteria. . Establish and facilitate a network of Company Sustainability Committees and engage committee members in sustainability tasks and activities to support sustainability across the Company Value Chain. . Monitor the implementation of Sustainability Procedures and Practices to ensure the desired level of compliance by the related parties. . Participate in the development and implementation of sustainability and HSE educational programs, and training sessions, with a view to promoting employee awareness of hazards and effects of conditions with which they are in regular contact and how their actions can impact on the community and environment.

Supervision . Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. . Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives. Budgets . Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. . Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures . Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards. Performance Management . Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement . Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. . Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability . Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. Reports . Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or Engineering

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

. 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years of experience as Sustainability Specialist . Understanding of sustainability strategies and management systems . Knowledge of international sustainability standards, codes and work practices. . Hands-on Sustainability' Reporting, Performance Assessments, and Analysis . Awareness of Product Stewardship and responsible sourcing. . Fluency in English Language; written and oral Revenues/ Budget: As per approved financial budget Direct Reports: As per organization chart Indirect Reports: As per organization chart

Professional Certifications

CSR, GRI G4, IPSM, ISO, ASQ, NIOSH, OSHA

Work Condition, Physical effort & Work Environment

Physical Effort Minimal Work Environment A/C environment, could be exposed to the prevailing weather conditions like heat, humidity & dust during occasional site visits
