A Senior Financial Planning & Analyst Specialist makes an impact as a seasoned, professional individual contributor, ready to manage projects, work independently, help teammates thrive and collaborate with stakeholders across the company.

Mercer is looking for a Senior Specialist to undertake a one year limited term contract.

We will count on you to:

  • Provides client support and financial business partnering to senior and executive management at a multi-function, complex function or large scale business level.
  • Independently executes financial modeling, including performing financial analyst activities, and financial reporting, and various metrics projects.
  • Acts independently to represent Finance on cross-functional management teams for a function or business.
  • Collaborates to resolve complex issues and provide strategic direction, to support the Finance function.
  • Collaborates across multiple functions and businesses at a senior level to resolve complex issues and provide strategic direction on an enterprise level.
  • Develops budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Ensures financial reports, P&L, balance sheets, cashflows, and statistical analyses are developed and accurate.
  • Identifies financial and operational KPIs and converts them into dashboards to drive accountability for performance throughout the company.
  • Prepares and delivers reports and presentations to advise management on financial analyses, results, and recommendations.
We are interested if you:
  • Have 5-6 years of finance business partnering experience, ideally within financial planning & analysis.
  • Have a strong analytical mindset & supporting capabilities.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Data Science, Engineering or similar.
  • Demonstrate an active willingness to continually learn and develop as a finance professional.

  • Are operating at expert levels of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Power Bi and Excel.
  • Have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and are empathetic to the viewpoints of others.
