JOB PURPOSE: Contribute in the capacity of a Subject Matter Expert for establishing Audit & Assurance digital strategy, lead implementation of digitization projects,,maintain operations of the digital infrastructure/systems to augment ADNOC Group Audit & Assurance operations through advanced technologies including data science, robotics, Artificial Intelligence solutions. Design, establish and maintain data driven automated audit / performance Dashboards and tools for the Group Audit & Assurance organizations to facilitate timely insights, and reporting to the Leadership & Management of ADNOC Group Audit & Assurance Functions / Divisions. Act as a subject matter expert on Digital IA Technologies to provide advisory services to the Group QA&E Manager and other Audit & Assurance Divisions to derive digital excellence in Audit & Assuranc. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Digitization and Automation Lead planning and laying out of road map for augmenting Audit & Assurance management, operations and methodologies through data science, data analytics and artificial intelligence driven solutions. Contribute in the development of strategic roadmap for ADNOC A&A Digital Excellence Framework. Study and support the identification of new technologies and platforms in the data science, analytics and data visualization spheres of business, and their applicability to the Audit & Assurance function, including predictive analytics, machine learning, deep learning, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Digital Assistant Coordinate with the ADNOC Group IT team to understand new technologies being adopted across the ADNOC Group and evaluate potential utility for the Audit & Assurance Function for adoption Design and build automated dashboards facilitating business processes, including identification of fundamental requirements of Extract, Transform and Load for seamless refresh of source data and utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights for operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics. Work with the IT Team on frameworks/models for accessing business data related to all ADNOC HQ processes, available on multiple applications (SAP OneERP, Audit Management System, SharePoint etc.), like development of data mart, commissioning of mirror databases etc. Play lead role in the critical evaluation of new data analysis and data visualization tools, from functional aspects like application features, tangible enhancements to the IA Function, critical POC evaluation etc. to technical aspects (along with the ADNOC Group IT Team) like compatibility with existing ADNOC IT infrastructure, information security guidelines etc. Identify, assess, change, innovate and exploit advanced technologies to the benefit of the organization Collaborate and coordinate with the ADNOC Group IT and infrastructure teams to setup, operationalize and sustain the Central Digital Excellence Facilities and infrastructure which would act as a Central data hub for the function aggregating information from all ADNOC Group companies Conduct programs to develop existing auditors improving their knowledge and ability to adopt and use digital technologies Participate in initiating and coordinating the Group-wide specialized professional training programs (IA Digital Technologies related); Project Management Develops project management practices for the Digital Excellence Projects by adhering to the methodologies and generate value to the Audit & Assurance Function Manage digitization projects / initiatives for ADNOC Group Companies through the lifecycle phases to successful completion as defined by Audit & Assurance Function objectives. Providing project status reports to stakeholders and management by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information. Managing project change control processes; interpreting data to help towards issue resolution and risk management; and making recommendations regarding solutions to problems or issues. Coordinate with ADNOC IT and business team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the Audit and business functions Lead and collaborate with vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns. Ensure that excellence in audit through data analytics is maintained and implemented across the ADNOC Group to meet Audit & Assurance Function strategic objectives. Audit Analytics - Complex Data Intensive Audits Provide insights through dashboards and visualizations, recommendations and areas for focus of time and effort to deliver greater results in the Internal Audit engagements if requested. Deliver Data Analytics (DA) driven analysis and insights for audit assignments requiring complex data driven analytics; Collaborate with Internal Auditors in the planning stage to assess data quality, maturity of data to perform analytics and assess all data requirements for enabling DA driven exceptions Develop process understanding of assigned business processes and determine business objectives, main functions, the nature of audit activities, potential risks and controls to be reviewed from a DA perspective; Collaborate with the Internal Auditors to develop a detailed audit analytics plan / Risk & Control Matrix (RCM) for the assigned audit including the objectives, potential risks, key controls, audit procedures and the use of audit techniques and tools to evaluate governance, risks and controls processes, and submit audit program for review and approval, for embedding into the RCM; Implement audit analytics scripts using SQL, Python, R or other audit analytics tools and automate them into a centralized location with available app connectors; Produce all exceptions with full or partial sampling of the data as relevant and work with Internal auditors ensuring effective audit tests / validations are performed with the business to arrive at conclusions; Determine adequate analytics approach to be applied, including the use of Information Systems Audit Techniques, statistical methods and predictive modeling for risk assessments; Ensure that adequate working papers and audit analytics processes are documented in the Audit Management System and retained for knowledge management; Identify, obtain, analyze and appraise evidentiary data/information and related systems; Prepare data insights for core data analytics driven audits and provide those insights to the internal auditor to be updated in the audit report; Participate in conducting special ad-hoc data analytics assignments and undertake administrative duties as directed Undertake excellence projects in audit analytics, data analytics strategy and standardization tools across the group. Work closely with the Group Internal Audit managers to standardize and implement the best practices already implemented and piloted in HQ; Coach and mentor a team focusing on developing analytical insights Liaise with external consultants and service providers for testing available services Supervise and guide the Group Internal Audit teams to use data analytics in audits, in accordance with the approved RCM and professional standards on internal auditing; Ensure tasks assigned to audit staff are adequately performed and deliverables are in accordance with ADNOC Internal Audit procedures and quality standards; Identify high risk areas and review key control points of the system; Evaluate the system's effectiveness based on his / her business and audit experience and modifies, if necessary, the scope of the review, with the approval of the A&AF management Participate in special committees to provide independent and objective advice and consultancy services on analytics best practices and observations. Audit Management and Intelligence Systems Support implementation and enhancement stages of the AMS on an ongoing basis, playing an active role in facilitating end user testing and coordinating with implementation team and IT for incorporating key features and requirements; Facilitate the data migration activities required for ADNOC HQ and Group Companies, through data collection, validation and verification for import into the AMS; Lead the development of performance indicators for utilization of the AMS by ADNOC HQ and Group Companies; Conceptualize, design and operationalize dashboards on Qlik Sense/Power BI for providing insights and visibility to senior management on various aspects of AMS; Identify standard reports and/or develop user designed reports for capturing AMS information relevant for fueling specific performance indicators and supported Qlik Sense/Power BI dashboards; Coordinate efforts with the ADNOC Group IT team and the AMS implementation team for connecting AMS with Qlik Sense/Power BI platform to enable real time data update for Performance dashboards; Coordinate internally with the Group Quality Assurance & Excellence Department to identify data points and reports to facilitate automation of Internal Audit Performance Dashboards, Triangle of Trust and Quality reports. Communicate identified issues with Internal Audit management to ensure potential high risk area of concerns are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Conduct research and benchmarking to resolve audit issues, identify gaps and support A&A Function. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Bachelor Degree in Business Analytics/ Data Analytics / Computer Science or Applications / Engineering / Information Technology or relevant discipline Masters is preferred Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills At least 10 years of experience in Business Analytics/Business Information Systems/Data Analytics Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases. Should have data modelling experience, both relational and dimensional Strong experience in working with reasonably large datasets in Excel/R/Python/SAS to derive meaningful trends, correlation in data Experience of developing management information reports and dashboards with analytical visualizations Experience performing root cause analysis on internal data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Proven experience in data analysis, statistics, including predictive analytics Experience of Visualization tools like Qliksense/Tableau/PowerBI or similar reporting tools Experience in writing SQL scripts/Stored procedures and automating them with dashboards Strong background and keenness to work in the areas of (one or more) Advanced analytics, Machine learning and Advanced automation/ RPA Proficiency in utilising various business applications to gather/ verify information with guidance. High interpersonal skills in line with the Corporate Role that requires interaction with all levels of management in ADNOC and the Group Companies. Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc. (preferred) Professional Certifications Database SQL certification preferred Data Science Certification preferred Project Management Certification preferred
