Senior Software Quality Control Engineer
Job Description
Primarily responsible for testing product releases, including scripting for test automation.
Develops comprehensive manual and automated test plans to guide the team toward release objectives.
Evaluates release requirements and support matrices to create effective test plans.
Executes tests to identify functional defects and usability issues.
Analyzes, tracks, and documents complex defects, generating detailed test reports.
Engages with customers for product support, bug analysis, and workaround solutions.
Collaborates with the Product Owner to define clear acceptance criteria.
Translates user stories and acceptance criteria into automated and manual test cases.
Addresses cross-functional integration topics, working closely with multiple teams or organizations.
Prepares and delivers formal demonstrations of completed features and user stories.
Operates within a team using agile development methodologies.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in a related field, preferably with a background in computer science.
Strong understanding of software development, debugging, testing, and problem-solving.
Expertise in various quality control frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JMeter, JUnit, and Katalon.
Proficient with source code control systems, particularly Azure DevOps.
Extensive experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs.
Ability to identify and report UI/UX issues.
Experience conducting load, performance, and application scaling tests.
Capable of performing application security audits.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of delivering large, cross-functional projects on time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
ISTQB certification is a plus.
