Where you fit In Shell Trading and Supply is growing and we in the IT Operations team play a key role we help deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and enhance our complex cloud-based services for a wide variety of customers where you will be focusing and supporting renewable development efforts in an IT environment. In this role as SRE you are embedded in DevOps teams with full stack developers, architect, product owner and data engineers to elevate throughout product and software development lifecycle (from design to deploy) and be ready for production to ensure security, reliability, and compliance. What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?

• Collaborate with the various SOM teams (Enterprise teas and Azure@Shell teams etc)
• Build key relationships (solution architect, data architect, lead developers, lead analyst, PMs)
• Technical and functional skills, influencer, Data &Analytics exposure
• Define the future the support model.
• Look for opportunities for continuous improvement and drive to get them implemented.
• Represent at the design sessions which take place each sprint within the SLMT D&A team to ensure design and development from the start considers not only IRM and architecture needs, but also supportability requirements.

What we need from You Required

• Knowledge of physical commodities trading markets and organisations (LNG, physical gas or oil).
• Experience of delivery within a trading environment
• Data and modelling delivery (see below)
• Experience working in fast- paced project delivery using AGILE methods
• Experience of working directly with traders on trader models.
• Exposure to compliance and application support roles
• Environment management skills/ Azure Cloud
• Delivery experience as a developer in the past
• Confidence to challenge with well thought through arguments
• Excellent negotiation/ conflict resolution

Desirable:

• Experience of Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate.
• Detailed knowledge of the LNG market
• Knowledge of Metals, Power or Emissions Trading
• Experience working in geographically distributed teams
• Detailed knowledge of data management best practice.
