You will be working as Service Engineer, will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible to ensure the service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers, execute technical support, act as specialist and solve problems in own expertise area, proactively communicate both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth

Your responsibilities

• Providing technical support and solving problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any service category (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, upgrades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.)
• Investigating customer needs through professional consulting, providing technical consulting on service solutions to management and customers, determining effective service applications, equipment and methods to developing, marketing or manufacturing new service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost effectively
• Managing customer relationships and maintaining regular contacts with key customers, identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams for ensuring customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth
• Coordinating and performing specialist service projects in relevant areas internally and externally (e.g. create milestones, project plan, cost supervision, action steps, project reviews, project supervision) including all commercials
• Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative, reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed, proactively identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicating them further in the ABB organization
• Providing recommendations to management improving operations and customer service, providing technical specialist leadership and coordination for the service team, performing engineering, testing, conduct FAT / SAT, deliver, installation supervision, commissioning, closing of punch points and hand over of projects and services
• Planning activities in a timely and cost-effective way, coordinating the work of internal and external technicians and assigning them specific tasks related to service needs and monitoring performance, conducting specialist support and advisory service for sales team.

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering
• Minimum of 5+ years of extensive working experience in ABB automation System 800xA with AC800M, AC450, both hardware and software with application program development knowledge in process industries such as cements, metals, pulp & paper, minerals, data center and F&B
• Knowledge in QCS scanners, sensors, CD / MD control \xe2\x80\x93 installation, configuration, testing, commissioning and fine tuning, LV / MV drives configuration, testing & commissioning
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
