Role Overview: The Senior Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for developing sales plans to achieve short and long-term targets towards existing and new customers. He continuously explores the market of mud/drilling fluid chemicals worldwide for opportunities and trends to augment the company\'s sales strategies and provide insightful information to the technical team for product innovation. He possesses the ability to coach talents and develop a sales team to its maximum potential. The Senior Sales & Marketing Manager ensures sales goals are met through effective implementation of sales plan combined with consistent monitoring of sales metrics. Responsibilities: Drive and meet the sales targets outlined for global market on a monthly basis Identifying the key oilfield chemical products being used by the drilling companies (end user) in the global market, especially in the GCC region Develop and maintain customer relationships Engage with Purchase team of drilling companies and sell our chemical products Meets with key clients for sales presentations, negotiations and closing deals. Prepares monthly sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. Act as a bridge between technical team and end users Gather data related to supply / demand of oil field products in the global market Analyze market data and provide tangible input to technical team to manage planning, production, procurement, etc. Exploring ways of improving existing products and service to increase profitability Oversee and evaluate market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities. Forecast sales activities and sets performance goals accordingly Represents company at trade association meetings to promote our products Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness Skills & Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; MBA will be an added advantage Demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles Proficiency in oral and written communication in English and Arabic language 5-10 years of experience in sales in chemical company or operations in an oil drilling company (service company), preferably with mud engineering experience Must have the ability and technical knowledge necessary to create effective and persuasive programs, presentations, technical recommendations and performance reports and recaps Ability to work under high pressure and result oriented Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with senior leaders Extensive travel in area of responsibility will be required Excellent customer relations skills and sales ability Good organizational skills and ability to put together technical presentations Ability to work in a multi-task, high paced environment, be self-directed and motivated, able to prioritize responsibilities, coordinate on-going projects, provide precise attention to detail Must be able to work well independently and with groups and field operations Adept knowledge of MS Suite
