Job Purpose

Decorative paint retail business in the Oman is currently serviced through retailer / wholeseller which contributes 60% of the total paints market. The retailers need to be serviced, with proper communication of offers and recommendation to ensure that all influencers and specifiers are engaged and represented well, time to time share new product need and specification to the marketing function. The retail sales executive will lead an assigned area business growth for AkzoNobel Oman while keeping a check on payments and maintain a healthy distribution through effective retailers / wholeseller for continues monthly billing.

Key Accountabilities

Sales Growth Develop existing retailers and establish new retailers in given territory. This includes gathering market and customer information, calling on the various types of customers within this scope, gaining a clear understanding of customer's businesses and requirements, educating customers on product specification and benefits through presentations and seminars, negotiating the terms of sales agreement and building up adapted offers to push sales in the territory Service Delivery to Customers Ensuring service delivery to retailers like communicating all the offer and benefits, ensuring the receivables are in line with ANO books of accounts Product Approval Conducting painter contact program Local contractors meet Regular contact with consultant/client in assigned territory

Experience

University degree Relevant sales experience within paints & coatings industry (preferably Decorative sales) Fluency in written and verbal English is mandatory. Malayalam language knowledge is added advantage Sound technical understanding of products Commercial sense and good understanding of the OWC process and related financials Strong ability to negotiate, influence, and persuade others Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of customer-focus Must be numerate and skilled in using MS Excel At AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
