Explain volume/ revenue variance against targets to Container Shipping Management
Engage in customer/ market identification and segmentation
Keep a close watch on industry/ market developments within the region and work with Manager - Milaha Line on an action plan
Coordinate with Customer Service Team to establish and maintain customer and competitor profiles
Sales Planning
Identify and develop opportunities for new business and revenue high grading for existing customers, and understand exact customer requirements
Plan weekly sales appointments
Sales Execution
Perform a variety of sales calls as per the plan, including face to face calls, and negotiate/secure business to maximize utilization of assets and revenue. Conduct client visits to maintain and develop relationships, and ensure customer satisfcation.
Display in-depth knowledge of all Milaha Line\'s sea and land based products/ services
Communicate and handle sales leads with other Milaha/agency offices
Ensure all customer enquiries (incl tenders) are handled in a timely and efficient manner
Post-Sales Activities
Communicate and follow up requirements (including pricing and contracts) internally with Customer Service and Operations, and update customers accordingly
Ensure accounts receivable status of customers is monitored on a weekly basis, and any collection issues are addressed. Communicate credit applications to Senior Manager - Commercial/ Corporate Finance
Ensure all customer inquiries (including tenders) are handled in a timely and efficient manner
Others
Engage and participate in relevant marketing activities such as exhibitions, conferences, trade events and other initiatives
Use existing systems and tools to record, track and report activities. Follow processes and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and other standards when engaging into agreements with customers.
Implement and maintain within their area of responsibility and accountability, compliance to all Milaha Health & Safety, Security, Environment and Quality policies, manuals, procedures, laws, regulations and standards.
Actively contribute and participate in Milaha Health & Safety, Security, Environment and Quality consultations, training and initiatives.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification: Bachelor\'s Degree
Professional Experience:
5-7 years in commercial positions
Sales competence
Geographic Experience: Minimum 4 years in a leading shipping company within same business segment
Computer Skills: Good knowledge of Office and web applications, ERP
Language Skills: Business fluent English
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the line industry - ISC/Gulf in particular Strong knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
