Context:

As the Senior Road Engineer, you will be pivotal in leading and executing the design aspects of road networks associated with rail infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing road work planning, design, and implementation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Missions/Main Duties:
Oversee and coordinate the design process for significant roads, highways, and infrastructure projects. Collaborate with diverse teams, such as rail, structural, drainage, and transportation planners. Offer guidance and support to junior engineers and design teams. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and risk evaluation to guarantee successful completion. Supervise design proposals, feasibility analyses, and technical documents to guarantee quality and precision. Assist in business development activities such as bids, proposals, and client presentations. Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, authorities, and project stakeholders. Ensure strict adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and local specifications throughout the road works design process. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes for design deliverables. Introduce advanced design technologies and sustainable practices to enhance road networks' efficiency and environmental sustainability. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in road works design processes and methodologies.



Profile/Skills:
Graduate degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in road design. Experience in leading a team of engineers and technicians. Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills. Ability to work effectively with colleagues, seniors, team members, and clients. Experience in technical leadership for major transportation projects at the feasibility and detailed design stages. Ability to fully understand, explain, present, and solve complex technical problems for technical and non-technical audiences. In-depth knowledge of international road design standards. (AASHTO, DMRB etc.)
