We are looking for a Senior Risk Engineer - Engineering Lines & Construction to join our team and play a key role in our Middle East Risk Engineering Team. Reporting to the Risk Engineering Manager, this individual will provide technical support to the Engineering Lines & Construction Underwriting team and deliver a high quality and cost-effective service.
Job Accountabilities
As Senior Risk Engineer ? Engineering Lines & Construction, your role will involve:
- Assess the quality of complex risks according to appropriate standard(s) and assess loss potential in accordance with agreed definitions.
- Support Engineering Lines & Construction Underwriting team by conducting site surveys and desktop reviews and provide sound engineering opinion.
- Support internal & external customers by identifying, and reducing the risks individually, and on an overall account basis.
- Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, review loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis) and implement lessons learnt.
- Share technical expertise with colleagues, business partners and customers through training delivery or participation relevant industry seminars.
- Grow and maintain positive customer and business partner relationships and collaborate with both to develop appropriate service plans.
Job Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor?s degree in engineering or equivalent
- 5 or more years of industrial or engineering experience.
- Additional qualifications in Risk Management or Professional Certifications would be beneficial.
- Self-starter, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to individuals at all levels ? from site technicians up to company CEOs.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to write detailed reports of a varied technical nature.
- Member of engineering associations is preferable.
- Experience of working with international engineering standards and codes
- Working knowledge of fire protection and detection system
- Ability and willingness to travel within MEA region.
