Minimum of 12 years total experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including a minimum of 10 years' experience in TSE in Oil and Gas. Physical Effects Modelling and Quantitative Risk Assessment. Experience/conducted studies using Shell FRED, SHEPHERD software and or other PEM/Risk integration software. Formal certification preferred. Facilitated/led workshops for Technical Safety, which may include but not limited to HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Ties, ALARP demonstration, MOPO/SIMOPs workshop, SCE Identification workshops, DEM1/DEM2/LFI Screenings and demonstrations.

Understands the validity criteria for active barriers [Independent, Effective and Auditable] Demonstrated experience of confirming/checking/ensuring validity of barriers during DR/HAZOP/IPF/Bow-Tie/ALARP demonstration decisions and Risk assessment. Intervenes, where necessary during the workshops/ during decision making to check/ensure validity criteria for barriers. Identifies/leads the team to identify Escalation Factor and Escalation Factor Controls during Bow-Tie workshops or equivalent reviews. Identifying HSSE Critical Activities or Tasks to maintain the integrity of new Hardware and Human barriers. Identifying HSSE Critical Activities or Tasks that were missing to maintain the integrity of existing Hardware and Human barriers.

'Prepared/facilitated/developed ALARP demonstrations for projects, starting from Identify/Assess phase up to Operate and decommissioning phase. For FEED/DD projects, provides input/compliance statement to project ALARP demonstration or Statement of Fitness requirement elements/checklist. Competent to check assumptions, inputs used in SIL classification/IPF/LOPA workshops. Developed (design) HSE Cases and manage Interface with other disciplines. Demonstrated experience of Timely & quality closure of project HSE actions. Completed or delivered Technical Safety Engineering deliverables.

These typically include TSE DCAF& Non DCAF deliverables; example include but limited to input to CSR/BfD report, Basis of Design reports [FEED/DD], hazardous area classification drawing/schedule, FEA/FGDEA, flare radiation and dispersion studies, safety equipment layouts, input to facility layouts/facility siting and layout studies, EPZ calculation, HFE screening, VCA, HSSE Philosophy and Activity Plan, Emergency Response Plan etc.

Prepared/actively participated in DR/HAZOP/IPF/Retro HAZOPs. Provided inputs/attends interview during Pre-Startup Audit [PSUA] and other assurances.

'Competent to interpret & apply Technical Safety engineering related industry standards in to projects. Competent to interpret and apply - Shell DEPs into projects - PDO standards into projects - Fire safety and Fire Protection/NFPA Standards. Passion to contribute/provide inputs/feedback to PDO standards and systems improvements. Understands the process of variance/deviation management and competent to provide required inputs/engagement as per Variance Tracking Tool. Understands PDO project Management of Change [PMoC] process and able to provide required inputs (if required).

Safeguarding: competent to advise projects and/or competent to identify anomaly to following topics: - Overpressure & under pressure Safeguarding [offplot and onplot]; - Venting, flaring and relief; - Flare and Relief Hardware/installation; - Blowdown and/or drain systems; - Hazardous Area Classification and selection of appropriate equipment/Electrostatics.

Competent to interpret & apply technical safety and fire engineering related industry standards in to projects, (NFPA, API, EI, PDO, Shell, Total, ADNOC) Competent to conduct firewater demand calculations. Competent to conduct steady state/transient hydraulic analysis of firewater system. Understands and can implement applicable design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation & maintenance requirements for: - Active fire protection systems - Passive fire protection systems - Firewater ring main and distribution systems - Firewater pumps/storage tanks/deluge systems - Fire & gas detection systems - Gaseous fire protection systems
