Job Description

Petroplan are currently recruiting on behalf of an international energy market intelligence provider specializing in providing world-class research and analysis of both regular and complex aspects of the Oil, Gas, NGLs and new markets.
They are looking to hire a Senior Refining Analyst for their Dubai office. The ideal candidate will be a highly numerate graduate ideally with oil industry experience; alternatively from a finance, engineering, economics or similar background. Knowledge of oil/refining markets, with 2 to 5 years of oil industry/consulting/market research experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Play a key role in developing and maintaining Asia Pacific oil and refined products models, identifying key trends in the refining market, providing in-depth analysis and interpretation of the impacts.
Work closely with oil and gas experts in other regional offices to provide strategic and analytical input to the long-term global oil demand outlook, and participate in ad hoc project work.
Contribute to and/or lead bespoke projects for clients on refining related topics - either in response to specific requests, or as multi-client reports.
Maintain regular contact with clients and market participants to gather market information and develop business opportunities.
Communicate insights through published notes, presentations, calls, emails and meetings with clients and prospects.
