Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in a road contracting company, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects related to roads and infrastructure. You will ensure cost control, contractual compliance, and timely reporting while supporting project teams with commercial and contractual advice.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for road and infrastructure projects. Participate in tender preparation and bid evaluation. Administer contracts including FIDIC or local UAE government contracts (e.g., DEWA, RTA). Review contract terms and conditions and provide advice on contractual risks and obligations. Handle contract correspondence and notices under the contract. Conduct on-site measurements and valuations of completed work. Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final accounts. Monitor project costs and compare with budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness. Produce monthly commercial reports including CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliation). Identify, prepare, and submit variations and claims (EOT, disruption, etc.). Support in negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor packages. Administer subcontract payments and manage commercial relationships.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. 5-10 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects, with at least 3-5 years in the UAE or GCC. Strong knowledge of local contracting practices. Familiarity with RTA, ADM, or other UAE road authorities' specifications. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills. Strong proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CCS Candy, CostX). Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
