Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver comprehensive pre and post-contract cost consultancy services across multiple construction projects
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for tendering and procurement processes
  • Coordinate and manage the tender process including addenda preparation, tender clarifications, and bid evaluations
  • Review and support contract formation, ensuring compliance with project and client requirements
  • Administer post-contract services such as payment certification, variation assessment, claim avoidance, and cost reporting
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare monthly cost and risk management reports
  • Conduct value engineering exercises and benchmark analysis to optimize project costs
  • Oversee and manage the performance of junior quantity surveyors and support staff, providing technical guidance and mentoring
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure timely communication and issue resolution
  • Develop and implement best practices in cost management and financial governance
  • Support the preparation of funder advisory deliverables and due diligence reports
  • Ensure adherence to AECOM's quality control processes and documentation standards
  • Participate in internal reporting, data collection, and business development activities as required
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • 8-10 years of post-graduate experience, including 4-5 years in the Middle East
  • Proven track record in cost consultancy services across large-scale residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
  • Strong knowledge of tendering, cost planning, contract administration, and value engineering principles
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
