*Job Advertisement: Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) Needed* *Project Details*: We are proud to announce that we\'ve been awarded a mixed-use commercial and residential project located in Dubai International City. The total built-up area for this project is 17,500 square meters, with a construction timeline of 20 months. As the main contractor, our preparations for the commencement of work are underway. *Position*: Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) *Key Responsibilities*: - Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required, and labor involved. - Plan to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors. - Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. - Evaluate completed work and arrange payments. - Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use. - Understand the implications of health and safety regulations. *Requirements*: - Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in quantity surveying, engineering, architecture, or a related field. - A minimum of 5-10 years of QS experience, especially in commercial construction projects. - Work experience in the UAE, especially Dubai. - Qualification or membership from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or other relevant bodies. - Proficiency with modern QS software and tools. - Deep knowledge of construction materials, building regulations, and construction regulations specific to Dubai. - Strong contract management and negotiation skills. - Fluent English speaking and writing ability. Knowledge of Arabic can be an added advantage but is not mandatory. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
