About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of quantity surveying for our construction projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
Prepare and analyse cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and cost analyses for tenders and contracts
Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims
Perform value engineering to optimise project costs without compromising quality
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
Monitor and report on project financial performance, including cash flow forecasts
Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices in quantity surveying
Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors in the team
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all quantity surveying activities
Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in quantity surveying
What do we need from you
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Professional certification from a recognised body (e.g., RICS, CIOB)
Minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on large-scale construction projects
Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Causeway) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
In-depth knowledge of construction practices and methodologies
Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and local construction regulations in the UAE
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong organisational skills and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working in the Middle East construction industry is highly desirable
* Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous
