Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Senior Quantity Surveyor

with a strong consultancy background and

proven experience working on major projects in Dubai

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost management, contract administration, and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project goals, budgets, and local authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full cost control process across all project phases (pre- and post-contract). Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost plans, and tender documentation. Evaluate and negotiate variations, claims, and contractor payment applications. Conduct value engineering exercises to maximize project cost efficiency. Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC and Dubai Municipality regulations. Prepare and review cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project budgets. Oversee final account preparation and close-out procedures. Lead meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve commercial and contractual issues. Supervise and mentor junior quantity surveyors and support staff. Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and procurement guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a minimum of 5 years in a consultancy role.

Mandatory experience on Dubai-based construction and infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard forms of contract. Proficient in cost management tools such as CANDY, CostX, or similar. Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills. Strong understanding of Dubai regulations, market rates, and authority procedures (Dubai Municipality, RTA, etc.).

Preferred:

MRICS or pursuing RICS Chartership. Experience with both building and infrastructure projects (mixed-use developments, roads, utilities, etc.). Previous experience in dispute resolution or claims management is a plus.
