within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost estimation, contract management, tendering, and project financial control. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of local regulations, authority requirements (such as Dubai Municipality, ADM, DDA, etc.), and FIDIC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for civil and landscape projects.
Evaluate tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to prepare competitive bids.
Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
Manage all aspects of post-contract quantity surveying duties including payment applications, variation orders, and final accounts.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure cost control and contractual compliance.
Participate in project meetings and provide commercial input and risk assessment.
Monitor project progress, identify potential financial risks, and provide solutions.
Assist in value engineering exercises and project cost optimization.
Maintain knowledge of current market rates for materials and labor in the UAE.
Ensure compliance with FIDIC conditions of contract and UAE law.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of UAE experience in civil or landscape projects.
Strong understanding of UAE construction laws, contract administration, and authority regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software such as Candy, CostX, or similar.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
RICS or other professional membership is an advantage.
