Job Description
Job Summary: The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the cost management of construction projects. This includes preparing cost estimates, managing project budgets, and controlling costs throughout the construction process. The Senior Quantity Surveyor also works with the project manager and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates for construction projects
- Manage project budgets
- Control costs throughout the construction process
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors on cost matters
- Prepare and review contracts
- Manage claims and variations
- Prepare progress reports and financial statements
- Advise the project manager and other team members on cost-related matters
- Bachelor\'s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying
- Strong understanding of construction costs and pricing
- Experience with cost management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Master\'s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Experience with construction risk management
- Experience with construction project controls
- Experience with construction dispute resolution
