Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead all commercial, cost, and contract management activities for our ongoing and upcoming construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership ability, and full understanding of Qatar's construction and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and review of BOQs, cost estimates, and tender submissions. Manage quantity take-offs, site measurements, and verification of actual progress. Evaluate contract documents, identify risks, and provide recommendations. Manage variations, change orders, claims, and contractual correspondence. Prepare and review monthly valuations, interim payment applications, and final accounts. Monitor project budget, cash flow, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Subcontractors. Review subcontractor quotations, agreements, and invoices. Ensure compliance with FIDIC, company standards, and client/consultant requirements. Provide commercial leadership to junior QS staff and support their development. Prepare timely cost reports, forecasts, and commercial dashboards for management.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 12-15 years of QS experience, including GCC/Qatar projects. Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management, and FIDIC. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, QS software, and cost control tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and lead commercial activities independently.
