Overview:



Marmi Engineering Co. W.L.L. is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our quantity surveying team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. This role demands a high level of expertise in cost management, contract administration, and risk management to ensure the financial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:



Cost Management:



Oversee the cost planning, management, and documentation for multiple construction projects. Prepare detailed project budgets, cost forecasts, and reports, ensuring financial objectives are met.

Contract Administration:



Manage and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure all construction activities comply with contractual terms and legal requirements.

Risk Management:



Identify, analyze, and mitigate financial risks associated with projects. Implement strategies to avoid cost overruns and ensure project profitability.

Value Engineering:



Lead value engineering efforts to achieve optimal balance between cost, quality, and time requirements. Propose cost-effective solutions without compromising on project standards and quality.

Payment and Invoicing:



Administer and coordinate timely issuance of invoices and payments to and from clients and subcontractors. Monitor cash flow to ensure it aligns with work completed on-site.

Team Leadership:



Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and project team members. Foster a collaborative work environment focused on achieving project goals.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:



Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on contractual and financial matters. Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors to support project delivery.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends. Expertise in construction laws, contracts, and negotiation. Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Proficient in QS software (e.g., CostX, BuildSoft) and MS Office Suite. UPDA Certificate
