will be responsible for managing all cost and contractual aspects of supervision projects from inception to completion. The role involves providing expert advice on cost control, variations, claims, payments, and contract administration, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all pre- and post-contract commercial activities for supervision projects.
Review and certify contractors' interim payment applications and final accounts.
Evaluate and validate variations, claims, and change orders in coordination with the Resident Engineer and design teams.
Monitor project budgets, forecast costs, and prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow statements.
Provide contractual and commercial support to the supervision and project teams.
Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and procurement documentation when required.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and relevant standards (e.g., FIDIC).
Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to control project costs.
Participate in client and contractor meetings to resolve commercial and contractual matters.
Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and correspondence related to commercial issues.
Support the Project Director in preparing project financial summaries and contractual advice.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
Minimum
10 years of relevant experience
, with at least
5 years in a supervision consultancy environment
.
Experience in Ashghal / PWA projects
will be considered a strong advantage.
Strong knowledge of cost management, and claims analysis.
Experience in
building, infrastructure, or mixed-use development projects
.
Proficiency in MS Excel, cost control software, and standard measurement methods.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, AIQS) is an advantage.
