Your Role

As a

Senior Proposal Engineer

, you'll be a key player in developing

techno-commercial proposals

for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) trading projects. You'll analyze client requirements, prepare precise cost estimates, coordinate with vendors, and support our commercial team to win high-value industrial contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze RFQs, tender documents, and technical specifications for E&I systems Prepare accurate, competitive, and compliant techno-commercial proposals Source and estimate pricing for materials, including: Power & control cables, cable trays, junction boxes Field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature) LV & MV switchgears, MCCs, PLCs, DCS components Lighting, earthing, and explosion-proof devices Review and ensure compliance with

IEC, NEC, ATEX, NEMA

and other industry standards Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to gather technical data, pricing, and delivery timelines Prepare detailed costing sheets, price breakdowns, and margin analysis Generate and issue RFQs to a wide vendor base with proven track records Review and compare vendor quotations; negotiate optimal solutions Support commercial meetings, attend pre-bid discussions, and client clarifications Maintain proposal tracking sheets, tender logs, and documentation Coordinate with internal departments (sales, engineering, procurement) to ensure alignment Draft and submit final bid documents and technical submittals

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

Bachelor's degree in

Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering

Strong technical knowledge of

automation panels

,

field instruments

, and

electrical components

Excellent written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail with strong commercial awareness Sound understanding of proposal writing, estimation, and vendor management Ability to determine root causes of technical issues and propose solutions Adaptability and open thinking--ready to think outside the box Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills Professional appearance, initiative, and a commitment to safety and quality Proficient in English (verbal and written); strong email etiquette

UAE driving license

is an added advantage

Experience & Logistics Requirements

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

, with at least

4 years in a senior estimation or proposal role

Extensive hands-on experience in

Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

within

Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Steel, or Paper industries

Must have working knowledge of relevant codes and standards

Ability to commute to KEZAD FZE, Abu Dhabi

(Required)

Ability to relocate to Abu Dhabi prior to starting work
