Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Broker to join our Middle East and Africa team!

The successful candidate will have experience in the property facultative reinsurance market and have a strong command of technical, statistical and broking skills. We are open to considering candidates based in Dubai or those in London currently operating in the Middle East and Africa market. French language skills are also essential.

How you'll make an impact

Ability to define the broking strategy and own the placement structuring and negotiations to meet timelines. Technically proficient - can understand and tailor wordings to client industry needs and prepare a lead slip Frequent engagement with colleagues across various Gallagher offices that cater to the Middle East and Africa market. Leading day-to-day account handling and developing initial ideas for structure, coverage, and marketing strategy. Reviewing data, statistics, and information packs to support the placement of clients' programs, ensuring detailed marketing and broking. Coordinating analytics and servicing resources to nurture a sense of community within the client team. Leading tenders, structuring, and placement execution. Ensuring top-quality accounting and claims servicing. Handling and resolving queries from clients and reinsurers, including regular in-person engagement. Working on ad hoc projects, supporting strategy, conducting research, and producing reports/PowerPoint presentations. Collaborating on RFPs and tenders to support the growth of the team.

About You

Validated experience in facultative reinsurance with placement experience on sophisticated accounts in the Middle East& Africa. Creative thinker / solution orientated / strategic. Ability to adapt our offering to differentiate from what our competitors will do. Organised with the ability to lead multiple collaborators aligning interests Good market rapport and reputation French language skills, both verbal and written Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and markets. Highly orgainsed with excellent time management skills. * Ability to prioritise different tasks and workloads.
