Position Overview
Senior Project Surveyor leads the delivery of pre-contract quantity surveying services across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and built environment projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, supporting directors and leadership teams while driving cost planning excellence and client value from project inception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Directors in leading and delivering full quantity surveying services from project inception to completion
  • Plan and coordinate workstreams with senior staff and leadership to meet agreed timescales or propose mitigation strategies where required
  • Deliver complex pre-contract services including feasibility estimates, cost plans, procurement strategies, tendering, and contract awards
  • Provide limited post-contract support where required, with awareness of construction phase requirements
  • Lead and manage measurement activities and cost planning tasks within the office environment
  • Drive value engineering and value management initiatives to optimize project outcomes
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships while promoting AECOM as a provider of premium professional services
  • Manage resources on projects within approved budgets and timelines
  • Brief project teams on scope, roles, and responsibilities to ensure clarity and alignment
  • Monitor and manage performance of Project Surveyors and other direct reports
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with the AECOM Project Delivery System and internal procedures
  • Coordinate with senior staff to allocate appropriate resources across projects
  • Develop, interpret, and apply benchmarking data to support cost planning and decision making
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of infrastructure works including roads, bridges, utilities, plants, and associated equipment
  • Apply industry-standard contract forms and measurement methods including FIDIC, CESMM, POMI, and NRM
  • Lead by example, fostering an inclusive and high-performance working environment
Ideal Profile
  • Quantity Surveying or Engineering degree
  • Chartered status with MRICS
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in quantity surveying
  • Strong pre-contract consultancy experience with extensive exposure to cost planning at all stages
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex deliverables
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure projects and international contract forms
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client-facing skills
