Senior Project Surveyor - AECOM - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This Senior Project Surveyor role with AECOM Dubai focuses on pre-contract cost planning, feasibility analysis, procurement support, and tender management for a wide range of major development projects. The position requires strong leadership in managing teams, delivering complex cost planning outputs, and coordinating with senior management to meet project timelines and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project deliverables across feasibility estimates, cost plans, procurement, and tendering
• Prepare and manage complex pre-contract documentation and contract awards
• Brief project teams on scope, roles, and responsibilities
• Oversee measurement activities and ensure accuracy of cost data
• Lead value engineering and value management exercises
• Develop and interpret benchmarking data for cost planning
• Manage project resources and maintain budget alignment
• Supervise Project Surveyors and monitor their performance
• Ensure compliance with the AECOM Project Delivery System
• Coordinate with senior management to allocate resources and meet deadlines
• Provide input on mitigation strategies when timescales cannot be met
• Support limited post-contract activities as required
• Work independently with minimal supervision on routine tasks

Ideal Profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong pre-contract consultancy experience
• Extensive exposure to cost planning at all project stages
• RICS membership is preferred
• Strong understanding of procurement routes and tender processes
• Ability to manage teams and deliver high-quality outputs
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
