General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

Leading and motivating the Construction Management Delivery Teams. Pro-active management of Consultants, Sub-Consultants, Contractors and project participants. Ensuring continual compliance with overall project delivery strategies. Ensuring all parties are performing according to their contracted services and duties agreed under the responsibility matrix. Ensuring continual compliance with program procedures and agreed-upon reporting systems. Early identification of strategy or procedural inefficiencies and development revisions to the PMP. Evaluation of progress on the Construction Methodology and schedules for each package and taking necessary actions with relevant parties for deviations and time slippage. Ensuring the Safety Management System is being strictly adhered to. Ensuring that QA/QC procedures and standards are being implemented and followed. Manage the preparation of the Construction Manager's Monthly Report. Review the Contractor's submitted Monthly Reports. Manage the Contractor and CSC fully compliant with the Project Health and Safety plan. Ensure perceived project risks are communicated to the Project Director and delivery teams. Monitor and review Consultants' / Contractors' performance, give regular, objective feedback on progress, and deal immediately with poor performance. Project Specific Responsibilities Responsible for any amendments to the Construction Management and Construction Supervision Plan, Process and Procedures as defined in the Hill PMP. Day-to-day management and supervision of Hill Safety, Construction, MEP, Design, and Quality Managers. Hill's primary point of contact is the Contractor and Construction Supervision Consultant. Coordinate with the hill design manager for any upstream and downstream design activities and their impact on the construction works. Chair the following meetings. Weekly Progress with Contractor. Weekly Technical with CSC. Weekly Technical with Contractor and CSC. Weekly Quality meeting with Contractor. Attend Safety Walks and Mock-Up Inspections; Attend MEP meetings with the Contractor and/or CSC. Coordination with the Project Controls Manager to review the weekly data provided by the Contractor and respond to the Contractor on any inaccuracies. Analysis of all data from the project and summary into a coherent, professional and concise Hill weekly dashboard and monthly report. Coordinate with Hill Senior Contracts Manager to prepare letters to and respond to letters from the Contractor and Construction Supervision Consultant. Coordinate with Hill Senior Contracts Manager to analyse and respond to any claim from the Contractor or Construction Supervision Consultant. Coordinate with the Hill Senior Commercial Manager per the project change management process. Provide support to Hill Quality Manager whilst executing his duties to manage, supervise and audit the quality management systems of the Contractor and Construction Supervision Consultant. Provide support and direction to Hill Safety Manager whilst executing his duties to manage, supervise and audit the Contractor and Construction Supervision Consultant's health, safety, environment and sustainability management systems. Manage critical interfaces with the local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and the Master Developer for Saadiyat Island. Primarily responsible for management and supervision of the Contractor and CSC for the project's testing, commissioning and closeout and collecting all necessary documentation required by the Contractor to hand over the Works successfully. Qualifications, Experience, Skills, and Knowledge: 15 years total experience. 5 years in the UAE. Bachelor's Degree. Professional Membership is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with Project and Construction Management Teams, Consultants, Sub-Consultants and Contractors. Strong knowledge of the FIDIC form of Contract. The ability to mediate in a conflict situation. The ability to provide professional guidance and task management for direct reports. Technical understanding and working knowledge of Engineering, Project Management and Construction. Knowledge of the Authorities having Jurisdiction and the processes to be followed during design development and construction of the Works through to the attainment of a Building Completion Certificate.
