Job Title: Senior Project Engineer - Infrastructure (Pumping Stations & STPs)
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Job Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Project Manager / Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Infrastructure team, with a focus on Pumping Stations and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of multidisciplinary engineering tasks to ensure timely and quality project delivery in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the engineering and design coordination of infrastructure projects related to pumping stations and STPs.
Interpret and implement project specifications, drawings, and technical documents.
Liaise with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure engineering solutions meet project objectives and client expectations.
Review and approve design documents including P&IDs, hydraulic profiles, GA drawings, civil and MEP layouts.
Ensure engineering deliverables comply with local authority guidelines (e.g., Dubai Municipality), industry codes, and international standards.
Prepare and monitor project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and progress reports.
Assist in procurement activities including technical evaluations, vendor selections, and material approvals.
Manage and resolve technical queries, NCRs, and change orders during construction.
Support commissioning and handover phases by coordinating with operations, QA/QC, and contractors.
Monitor & control Sub Contractors with their execution at site
Participate in risk assessments, design reviews (HAZOP/HAZID), and value engineering sessions.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5-9 years of experience in infrastructure projects with at least 3 years in STPs and pumping stations.
Strong understanding of process design, hydraulics, mechanical equipment, and civil interfaces.
Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Revit, or similar tools.
Knowledge of international and regional standards (e.g., DM, DEWA, ASME, AWWA, BS, EN).
Experience working with EPC/D&B contractors or consultancy firms is an advantage.
PMP certification is a plus.
