About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and delivering complex projects within the electricity distribution and transmission industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate in a fast-paced, technically challenging environment.

Design, plan, and execute large-scale electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment Conduct thorough site investigations and develop comprehensive engineering solutions and designs Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and resources effectively Prepare detailed cost proposals, quotations, and validated estimates for project offers Oversee equipment specification, procurement, and supplier/contractor interfaces Review and approve designs, submissions, and tenders from various stakeholders Ensure project delivery meets quality, safety, and environmental standards Conduct regular project audits and site inspections to maintain high-quality standards Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technological advancements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes

What do we need from you

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred); HNC or equivalent qualifications will be considered Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electricity distribution and/or transmission industry, with a proven track record in project engineering Demonstrated experience managing major projects and high-volume workstreams, including responsibility for projects valued in excess of $5 million Strong technical knowledge across all distribution asset classes (cables, overhead lines, substations, and civil works) Expertise in managing projects from low voltage up to and including 66kV systems Proficiency in project management methodologies and software tools NEBOSH certification or equivalent qualification in safety management Experience working on CDM (Construction Design and Management) notifiable projects Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse project teams Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to work Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards Familiarity with industry regulations and standards in the UAE electrical sector (preferred) * Willingness to travel to project sites as required
