Job Summary:

The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing the technical and engineering aspects of projects from initiation through completion. This role involves project planning, resource coordination, and ensuring technical standards are met. The Senior Project Engineer also acts as a key liaison between stakeholders, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that project goals are achieved on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage engineering aspects of projects throughout the full lifecycle (design, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure). Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, construction, and quality. Prepare and review engineering plans, technical specifications, and project documentation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors as needed. Support procurement processes through technical evaluation of bids and vendor proposals. Conduct regular site visits to ensure project execution aligns with design and quality expectations.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.); Master's degree preferred. 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 2-3 years in a project leadership role.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management. Proficiency in engineering/project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
