mselect is looking to hire a Senior Project Engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering, project management and execution of major EPIC projects in Offshore oil & gas. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities To provide project engineering and management for the Process Platform/Facilities of the BH Redevelopment Project, in accordance with the Project Management Framework Responsible for leading and coordinating project teams formed to provide complete project engineering and management to execute Process Platform/Facilities of the BH Redevelopment project Prepare and implement Project Execution Plans Participate in Project Planning, Cost Control, Budgeting, Contract Administration, Progress Reporting, Change Management and Stage Gate approval activities Manage and coordinate a team of multi-discipline engineers to achieve timely review of deliverables and resolution of technical and engineering issues Participate in the preparation of the scope of work, tender packages, tendering process, evaluation of tenders and submissions with appropriate recommendations to relevant Tender Committees Monitor the performance and quality of works by EPIC contractors and Vendors and initiate remedial actions to ensure compliance with agreed milestones Contribute to the risk management process through identification, mitigation, implementation, and close-out of identified project risks and issues Facilitate management of Project interfaces between EPIC Contractors and various project stakeholders according to interface management plans Ensure compliance with applicable HSE standards/regulations and Project Quality Standards in close coordination with QHSE engineers Handles the assessment of ContractoraEUR(TM)s time and cost-related claims Reviews and recommends settlement of final accounts and variations to contracts Ensure timely Project Handover and Completion Responsible for ensuring and following on completion and handover certificates, punch list close-out, and approval of SPIRs and SAP-CMMS leading to the handover of the project to the asset holder Facilitate timely project close-out process Prepare progress reports of projects for internal reporting and presentations Mentor Associates by ensuring that they receive proper job training to realize their full potential

Requirements BSc in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University; a higher degree would be advantageous Membership in a recognized professional engineering/project management association/institution will be an added advantage A minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in engineering, project management and execution of major EPIC projects in Offshore oil & gas Specific work experience in the execution of Process/Gas Compression Platform involving Jacket, Topside, Bridges and Appurtenances Effective communication (presentation, report writing, and management of meetings) skills
