Senior Project Engineer

You will be working as Senior Project Engineer, will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Automation division based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role you will be proficient in project engineering including hardware and application engineering for process / distributed control systems, especially using ABB 800xA with AC 800M control, symphony plus, ABB freelance and interface configuration using different industrial protocols between ABB products & third-party systems

Your responsibilities

• Technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments, ensuring that activities related to engineering discipline(s) within the project are efficiently and cost- effectively executed, with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
• Performing site services as required in onshore and offshore customer sites, acting as technical product specialist, for ABB 800xA and automation system products, providing high level technical support and coordinating product issues to customers within the specific business unit region.
• Coordinating and resolving high level technical issues / questions and providing advice and recommendations both internally and to customer sites, trouble shooting ABB automation system at onshore and offshore customer sites
• Providing and creating a team approach to service related activities, offering customers a complete lifecycle approach to product implementation, supporting and ultimate system upgrades, delivering a professional and quality service in line with ABB and customer requirements
• Providing cyber security solutions such as network hardening, system hardening, backup solutions, patch management for ABB automation systems, improving and growing ABB service business
• Providing networking solutions especially using Hirschman networking products, domain setup, group policies management for ABB Automation systems, involvement / assistance with new projects, with system testing for customers during FAT, commissioning, and SAT activities

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering
• Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role and experience in the automation area, knowledge in ABB systems such as 800xA, symphony plus, freelance, industrial cyber security solutions for ABB systems and customer interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English language is mandatory
