About the Role:
As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our company secures high-quality goods and services at the best possible value. You will be the bridge between our internal teams and our suppliers, managing the entire procurement lifecycle with expertise and a sharp eye for detail. Your work will directly contribute to our operational success and financial health.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Sourcing:
Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
End-to-End Procurement:
Manage the procurement process from request to delivery, including preparing RFQs, analyzing quotes, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders.
Cost Management:
Drive cost-saving initiatives and negotiate favorable contracts without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
Supplier Management:
Monitor supplier performance, conduct reviews, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with various departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Projects) to understand their needs and provide procurement solutions.
Market Analysis:
Keep a pulse on market trends and conditions to anticipate changes and identify new opportunities.
Process Improvement:
Help develop and implement efficient procurement policies and procedures to streamline operations.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
What You'll Bring:
A minimum of
5 years of experience
in a procurement or purchasing role.
Superb Microsoft Office skills;
you're a whiz with Excel for data analysis and creating reports, and proficient with Word and Outlook.
Accounting-related skills are a big plus!
An understanding of budgeting, cost accounting, and financial principles will help you excel in this role.
Excellent personal and communication skills.
You're a natural relationship-builder who can negotiate effectively, communicate clearly with team members and suppliers, and resolve challenges with a positive attitude.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
