The Senior Procurement Executive will be responsible for leading the sourcing, negotiation, and procurement of packaging materials from both local and international suppliers. This role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials while maintaining quality standards and fostering strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for packaging materials, ensuring optimal quality and cost.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable pricing and delivery schedules.
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and performance.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
Inventory & Demand Planning:
Collaborate with the planning and production teams to forecast material requirements.
Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Cost Management & Budgeting:
Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare and manage budgets for packaging material procurement.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
Preferred Attributes
Experience in the UAE market, with a network of local packaging suppliers.
Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are an advantage.
