Procurement Engineer - Company: Steel Fabrication Company Location: UAE Experience: Minimum 5+ years of procurement experience required Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and cost savings.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, production, and finance, to understand procurement requirements and specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to contracts.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to make informed procurement decisions.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to procurement processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and supplier optimization.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the steel fabrication or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
- UAE driving license is preferred.
